Spring 2013 “Talking The Talk”

Terry Franzén will speak at the State of Bar of Georgia’s Real Property Law Section’s Annual Institute in May at Amelia Island, Florida to address the unlicensed activities related to attorneys assisting clients with mortgage modification and short sales. Also in May, Terry will provide Lorman Education Services’ Employment Law Update in Athens, Georgia regarding the hiring process. In July, Terry will speak at ACI’s 8th Mortgage Fraud Summit in San Francisco and its 16th Consumer Finance Class Actions and Litigation Conference in Chicago. Terry is also the featured speaker for the 2013 quarterly Automotive Training Solutions Webinar. The webinars are scheduled for June 4th, September 10th and December 2nd.
Loretta Salzano will speak at MBA’s Legal Issues and Regulatory Compliance Conference in Boca Raton in May. Loretta Salzano was invited to attend an industry roundtable with the CFPB’s Director, Richard Cordray, in Atlanta in January. Earlier this month, Loretta spoke about the SAFE Act at the State Bar’s Spring Residential Practice Seminar in Atlanta and on a webcast for the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia summarizing the CFPB’s recently issued rules. Also in February, she will speak at MBA’s National Mortgage Servicing Conference & Expo in Dallas. In March, Loretta will speak at RESPRO’s Annual Conference in DC, AgFirst Farm Credit Bank’s Compliance Conference in Orlando and to the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women in Atlanta. Loretta will address the multitude of mortgage lending rules and their impact on settlement service providers at the National Settlement Service Summit in Cleveland in June.
Jenny Dozier will address the members of the Georgia Real Estate Closing Attorneys Association regarding the impact of the CFPB’s new rules on closing attorneys in April.
