Terry Franzen will judge the UGA School of Law Transactional Law Competition in February.  In March, Terry will chair the ABA Consumer Financial Services Committee meeting in Las Vegas and speak on Defense of Foreclosure Litigation at ACI’s 8th National Forum on Residential Mortgage Litigation and Regulatory Enforcement conference in Washington, D.C.  

Loretta Salzano will speak on Short Sale Fraud in a webcast sponsored by Allregs in January.   In February, Loretta will talk about Fair Lending and Other Compliance Issues for the State Bar of Georgia broadcasting from Atlanta.  Loretta will focus on new disclosures under the Dodd-Frank Act at ALTA’s Business Strategies Conference in Louisville and will be inducted into the American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers in Las Vegas in March.  Also in March, Loretta will speak at RESPRO’s 2012 Annual Conference in Orlando. In April, she will give a Compliance Law Update at the 2012 AgFirst Farm Credit Compliance Conference in OrlandoLoretta will also give a legislative update at the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia’s annual convention in Destin in May.

“Talking The Talk” 

Terry Franzen spoke on loan servicing at ACI’s Residential Mortgage Litigation Conference in Dallas and addressed ABA’s Consumer Financial Services Institute regarding consumer finance litigation and regulatory enforcement actions in Boston in September.  In November, Terry will speak on “Loss Mitigation: Recent Developments, HAMP Data, CRA Credit and Best Practices for Assessing Fair Lending Risk” at the 2011 CRA and Fair Lending Colloquium in Baltimore. 

Loretta Salzano spoke at MBA’s Regulatory Compliance Conference in Washington D.C. and discussed regulatory changes at NAPMW’s luncheon in Atlanta in September.  In October, Loretta will speak  on the Dodd-Frank Act at the ALTA Annual Convention in Charleston, short sale fraud and “flopping” at ACI’s Mortgage Fraud Conference in Washington, DC  and “How to Influence Your Regulators and Legislators” on a webcast hosted by October Research Group.  In November, she’ll give a legislative and regulatory update to the American Association of Private Lenders in Las Vegas.  She will reprise her Dodd-Frank Act presentation for Chicago Title in Birmingham in November and for the Louisiana Land Title Association in New Orleans in December.   Also in December, Loretta will discuss Dodd-Frank issues of interest to affiliated business arrangements at a webcast to be hosted by RESPRO.  Loretta will advise of regulatory changes at NAPMW’s National Education Conference in Atlanta next May.

Terry Franzen spoke at GIADA’s Annual Convention on Employment Issues Facing Dealers in Atlanta in July.  In August, Terry will chair the Consumer Financial Services Committee meeting at ABA’s Annual Meeting in Toronto. Terry will speak at ACI’s Residential Mortgage Litigation Conference on Loan Servicing – Complying with the Multitude of Regulations, Minimizing Risk through Proper Procedures, and Mitigating Losses in Litigation in Dallas in September.  Also in September, Terry will address ABA’s Consumer Financial Services Institute regarding Consumer Finance Litigation and Regulatory Enforcement Actions in Boston. 

Loretta Salzano will present at NBI’s RESPA: “Requirements During the Closing Process” webcast in August.  Loretta will discuss regulatory changes at NAPMW’s luncheon in Atlanta in September and its National Education Conference in Atlanta next May.  In October, Loretta will speak at ACI’s Mortgage Fraud Conference in Washington, DC.  Loretta will speak on the Dodd-Frank Act at the American Mortgage Conference in Raleigh, at RESPRO’s webcast in September, at ALTA’s convention in Charleston in October and at the Louisiana Land Title Association’s convention in New Orleans in December.  

Jenny Dozier spoke on federal regulatory changes at GIADA’s Annual Convention in Atlanta in July.   

Sharmin Arefin spoke at the GIADA Annual Convention in Atlanta in July on hot topics impacting automobile dealers.
