Our firm helps banks, thrifts, mortgage lenders, mortgage brokers, consumer finance companies, and others involved in the lending process comply with the laws governing their business. We regularly provide advice on multi-state and federal lending and loan servicing compliance, including licensing, documentation, disclosures, usury and fees. We represent lenders, brokers, and others in regulatory enforcement proceedings, Freddie Mac exclusionary actions, and in individual and class action litigation. We assist our clients with title insurance claims and negotiate and draft loan purchase and sale agreements, marketing agreements, and other agreements integral to the lending industry. We also counsel our clients on general business, contract, corporate, employment, and litigated bankruptcy matters.
The firm’s practice includes a multi-state and federal legislative monitoring service for its clients. In addition, the firm is compliance counsel for PCi’s predatory lending product, Wiz Sentinel, and is the Georgia editor for Houselaw.
Similarly we assist our auto dealer clients with their litigation, compliance, corporate, and employment legal needs. We represent those clients in administrative actions brought by the Georgia Office of Consumer Affairs and Used Car Board. | |
